What Oil is King in the Fats and Oil Kingdom?

Virgin coconut oil is the healthiest oil of them all. You must be joking, many might say. After all, even medical textbooks warn us to avoid this saturated fat-rich oil like a plague.

No wonder medical doctors tell their patients to run away from it. But how come many fats and oil scientists are promoting the use of extra virgin coconut oil? Who should we believe? Personally, I lean towards the oil experts. Why?

Growing up in a rural area in the Philippines, I ate and drank coconut-based foods and drinks almost every day. I’ve tried them all- coconut milk, water, wine, meat, cream, extra virgin coconut oil, flour, candy, macaroons, etc.

With an almost daily diet of coconut, you would expect the farmers and their families to have weight problems, high blood pressure, and heart disease. However, the opposite is true. They have the lowest incidence of coronary artery disease and other cardiovascular diseases in the country.

Positive Facts That Can No Longer Be Ignored

The mountain of scientific evidence from lipid experts can no longer be ignored. We’ve been in total darkness about the real health benefits of coconut oil.
